Intelligent Power Reduction
ASTdim supports up to five independently programmable power reduction periods, allowing lighting output to be precisely adjusted according to traffic conditions, operating schedules, or project requirements.
Each programmable period includes:
- Start time
- End time
- Power level
This approach enables substantial energy savings without compromising lighting quality, user comfort, or operational safety.
Flexible Lighting Control
The controller features two industry-standard lighting control interfaces:
- DALI
- 1–10 V
Both interfaces operate simultaneously, eliminating the need to configure or select the control protocol.
ASTdim also includes a 230 V AC trigger input, allowing integration with external devices such as motion sensors.
When the trigger input is activated, the controller immediately disables power reduction and restores the luminaire to full light output. Once the trigger signal is removed, the controller automatically returns to the programmed dimming level.
The controller is configured using a predefined power cycling sequence. Power reduction schedules can also be programmed locally using ASTmicro controllers and the mobile application or remotely via ASTgsm controllers using the web platform.
