Device Description

ASTdim BT NEMA is an intelligent power reduction controller designed for LED luminaires equipped with a standard NEMA 76 mm 5-pin socket and DALI drivers. The controller enables automatic power management according to programmable schedules, significantly reducing energy consumption while maintaining the required lighting performance.

The controller features a DALI control interface together with integrated Bluetooth BLE 5.0 wireless communication, providing fast and convenient configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance directly beneath the luminaire using a dedicated mobile application.

Designed for installation in a standard NEMA socket, ASTdim BT NEMA can be installed without modifying the luminaire, making both installation and future maintenance simple and efficient.

 

Intelligent Power Reduction

ASTdim BT NEMA supports up to five independently programmable power reduction periods, allowing lighting output to be precisely adjusted according to traffic conditions, operating schedules, or project requirements.

Each programmable period includes:

  • Start time
  • End time
  • Power level

This intelligent control strategy significantly reduces electricity consumption while maintaining lighting quality, operational safety, and user comfort.

 

 

Wireless Bluetooth BLE Configuration

ASTdim BT NEMA is fully compatible with the free ASTdim Android application.

The integrated Bluetooth BLE 5.0 interface enables immediate parameter changes without the need to perform power cycling sequences traditionally required for controller programming.

Using the mobile application, users can:

  • Modify power reduction schedules.
  • Configure dimming levels.
  • Monitor the current operating status of the luminaire.
  • Perform service switching for 1, 10, or 30 minutes, or continuous operation.
  • Return the controller to automatic operating mode after maintenance.

The controller can also be programmed locally using ASTmidi or ASTmicro controllers and remotely via an ASTgsm controller using the web platform.
